Richard Rowley is retired and living in Auckland in New Zealand. As a student he lived in the USA during the Cuban Crisis and has been very interested in international affairs all his adult life. During that year he met the President, John F Kennedy, and the then governor of New York State, Nelson Rockefeller.
As an adult he has been appointed to boards of Directors for Government owned and private sector companies. His government appointments provided him access to some of the leading politicians of New Zealand.
His grandfather stood unsuccessfully for a seat in the New Zealand Parliament. Richard has four children, two of whom live in other countries. He has two stepchildren, and four grandchildren.
