THE AGREEMENT — The International Conference
In a future timeline stretching a century and a half ahead, the narrative unfolds within a world where globalism reigns supreme, deemed the optimal path to sustain a burgeoning population of ten billion souls alongside our diverse array of flora and fauna. The United Nations, once the pinnacle of international diplomacy, has evolved into The Agreement, eclipsing nationalism as the guiding principle of governance. These tales envision a paradigm shift where nations relinquish portions of their sovereignty in favor of a unified global management system under The Agreement’s auspices.
The manufacture and control of weaponry, both offensive and defensive, now fall strictly under The Agreement’s purview, with member nations supplying a portion of their economic output to fund its operations. Within this landscape, remarkable individuals emerge, entrusted with steering the course of The Agreement’s endeavors. Yet, behind their roles as stewards of global governance, they grapple with the complexities of personal lives and relationships, reminding us of the inherent humanity within even the most lofty echelons of power.
THE AGREEMENT — Can Misu Make A Difference
The Agreement is an international governance platform responsible for the modern international focus on globalisation. The time is one hundred and fifty years into our future. Nations have already started a journey to trust each other. They have substantially identified and agreed on a need to collaborate rather than contest. The principles of this global governance model were simple enough, but implementation had proven very complex and difficult. Not only had the investing and business trading worlds been turned upside down, but the movement of people from one nation to another, the taxation of business and individuals by nations, and the provision of health care and secure shelter were each making governance more complex. The historic acceptance of national boundaries and legal jurisdictions coinciding was no longer accepted. An overarching acceptance of a responsibility to look after planet earth was now assumed.
THE AGREEMENT — The Power of Coalescence
This is the third book in the trilogy, set in the 22nd century. The assassination of the Queen of England or of the P M of Israel, the attempted assassination of the Russian president, but no warfare. Many rivers and ocean foreshores were restored. North Korea’s isolationism as an autarky curtailed. Governments removed for not complying with the protocols of The Agreement. These events are facilitated by recognition of the need to coalesce. This story encapsulates the power of an international community, including each of the largest economies, accepting the need for a regulated environment to ensure planet earth can sustainably provide for all earthlings. The individuals we meet are exceptional. The most significant change is the refusal to permit nationalistic militarization.
